One of HCK2’s technology clients, NTT DATA Services, was recently awarded two prestigious honors at the 2017 Mergers and Acquisitions Awards presented by D CEO and Association for Corporate Growth.

The recognized leader in global technology services won Deal of the Year in the billion-dollar category for the company’s 2016 acquisition of Dell Services. Additionally, Sylvia Steinheisier, Executive Vice President of Corporate Development, was named 2017 Corporate Dealmaker of the Year.

NTT DATA Services first partnered with HCK2 Partners in January 2015. Our teams currently leverage public relations, including media relations, award submissions and thought leadership campaigns, to increase the company’s brand presence in North America.

HCK2 assisted NTT DATA Services’ internal and external communications teams during the company’s $3 billion acquisition of Dell Services. When the intent to acquire was announced, HCK2 garnered more than 520 media placements, which resulted in an audience of 1.4 billion and an advertising equivalency exceeding $6 million.

“It is a true honor for our acquisition to be recognized by D CEO,” said Corie Pierce, Senior Director of Corporate Communications for NTT DATA Services. “HCK2 served as a tremendous resource during the acquisition, and their continued work has been influential in generating greater awareness of the combined company.”

Both NTT DATA Services and Steinheiser received the awards at a private event on Tuesday, May 23 at The Fairmont Dallas. The D CEO and ACG Mergers and Acquisitions Awards recognize the top deals in North Texas and the dealmakers who make them happen. Nominees were reviewed and selected by a panel of judges who are experienced leaders in the Dallas-Fort Worth business community.

These awards for NTT DATA Services and Steinheiser are tremendous achievements that reflect the impact of our ongoing partnership. We are excited to see what the future has in store for NTT DATA Services and look forward to continuing to assist the team with their communications needs!

Summer is finally here, but we didn’t have to wait for the heat to rise to start sippin’ on Beyoncé’s lemonade. Back in April, the queen herself began releasing five to seven second promos of the ambiguous “Lemonade,” set to premier on April 23 exclusively on HBO. With no indication of what was to come on this holy day for members of the B-Hive, fans tuned in with anticipation and Twitter accounts at the ready as they prepared for the big event.

Co-Branding & Crossovers: The Proliferation of NBC’s Chicago Franchise

By: Steffanie Golliher
- June 21, 2016

Many literary critics and theorists have postulated that there are only a handful of distinct ways to construct a narrative and I feel this theory has never been more than apparent than in NBC’s roster of programming. Although this practice of situational and or narrative facsimile has manifested itself in many ways on NBC from the seemingly ubiquitous Law & Order franchise to the new and disturbing trend of re-envisioning popular movies as live television performances (A Few Good Men Live! coming soon), I find the Chicago franchise to be the most overt and, frankly, masterful, of their narrative duplications.

By: Erin Johnson

Work can easily become a bore – forced activity from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. that isn’t really enjoyed. Fortunately, I work for a company that breaks up the daily grind by creating a fun company culture. Here at HCK2, there are a variety of activities built into our day-to-day life that really makes working here enjoyable.

The HCK2 culture focuses on four pillars – growth, charity, integrity and balance – and these are all carefully integrated to create an environment that makes HCK2 the best:
