Benji Smith
Interactive Creative Director
Benji has apeirophobia—a fear of infinity. And that makes him perfectly suited for a project management role. Because the concept of endlessness can cause him anxiety and loss of sleep, Benji ensures every Web project follows a stepped, finite process. In his role as project manager, Benji not only serves as the client’s guide during development, he also puts his expertise as information architect and copywriter into the mix.
Prior to joining HCK2 Partners, Benji served as creative director at Dallas-based ClubCorp, a hospitality company with more than 170 private clubs and resorts and over $1.8 billion in assets. There, he and his team developed and maintained key messaging and brand strategy across all media while providing creative project support for the company.
Having held positions in copywriting as well as design in both agency and in-house marketing environments, he has worked with a variety of clients across a diverse range of industries including Acura, BMC Software, CBS Interactive, Consumer Credit Counseling Service, Dell, House of Blues, Pinehurst Resort and the U.S. Open.
